ASKING FOR FOOD.

First things First...an UP DATE ON COLE:
It's been 3 weeks since we took Cole off Lamictal, so it should all be out of his system...but  we are still praying for the S's to stop.  We've seen about 2-3/day :(  Please keep praying for him, we don't know what else to do right now.  We just bought our tickets to Cleveland for August ($1,700 not as expensive as the first tickets we purchased thank goodness!)...he will have a 24/hr EEG so we can see where the S's are coming from and what the "pattern" is so we can treat them accordingly.  And he will have a Neuro-phyc test NOT EXCITED for this AT ALL!  It's testing for 9 hrs...don't ask me how they are going to do this with him...cuz I have a feeling they will cut it short in the 1st hour....I already know Cole will FREAK OUT!!!!  I don't think I could even handle on of those neuro-phyc tests...they are crazy brain tests!

On to "asking for food":
Cole's teachers worked SO HARD this whole year to get Cole to use the "Big Mack Button".  It's a button you can record, the press....and in Cole's case...we record "More food please".   Cole has done GREAT using the button.  They let us check one out from the school to use at home, but now that school is out, we had to give it back.  These are EXPENSIVE!  At $120 (the cheapest I've found, including the price that we can buy it from the School District) it is pricey for a button.  Here is an alternative at a better price:

Talk Blocks (set of 5 for $57!!!)

On the Go/Magnetic ones ($13/each)

P.S. for ALL of those amazing dad's out there, Happy Father's Day :)

  1. We're praying for you all the time. How wonderful to see Cole put his food in his own mouth! Did they really tell you neuropsych testing would be 9 hours?! With us it's usually about 3-4 hours. -Ashley
